Mitchell A. Tanzman is Co-Chair of Macquarie Asset Management Wealth Solutions. He has more than 30 years of experience in alternative investments, including fund-of-funds portfolio management. Tanzman has invested more than $14.5 billion in over 175 funds, including more than $3.5 billion in private-equity funds.
Tanzman joined Macquarie Asset Management Wealth Solutions as a result of Macquerie’s 2022 acquistion of Central Park Group, the firm Tanzman was a founding partner as well as co-chief executive officer. Prior to founding Central Park Group, Tanzman served as co-head of UBS Financial Services Alternative Investment Group and was a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. Before UBS, he worked at Oppenheimer & Co. Asset Management Group, and ultimately co-managed the firm’s alternative investment department. Additionally, he was a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Tanzman began his career at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan as an attorney specializing in investment companies and advisory services.
Tanzman is a contributing author to the book “Hedge Funds,” edited by Lederman and Klein.
Tanzman is a graduate of Emory College and earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School. His involvement at Emory dates back to his years as an undergraduate. He was managing editor and editor-in-chief of the Emory Wheel and was a member of ODK, Mortar Board, and Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity. Since graduating, Tanzman chaired the New York–area Annual Fund in 1997–1998 and was a member of the Emory Alumni Board.
