Emory University

Emory Healthcare

Emory Healthcare is part of Emory University’s Woodruff Health Sciences Center, along with Emory University School of Medicine, Emory Global Health Institute, the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, the Rollins School of Public Health, the Winship Cancer Institute, and Emory National Primate Research Center.

Additionally, Emory is engaged in a number of research contracts and consulting partnerships with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), headquartered in Atlanta.

The Carter Center

In 1982, former US President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter set out to establish The Carter Center. They chose to partner with Emory University because of Emory’s shared values, unique resources, and open platform for idea exchange.

Since its inception, The Carter Center has established programs in the developing world focusing on conflict resolution, advancing democracy, human rights, disease prevention, mental health care improvement, and agricultural education to increase crop production.
