Matthew Werner joined Emory Investment Management in 2018. He oversees both the public and private investment portfolios, with a particular focus on credit and multi-strategy investments. Prior to joining Emory, Werner served as Director of Credit, Multi-Strategy, and Emerging Markets at Spider Management Company, the University of Richmond’s investment office, where he worked for more than a decade. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant with Barra, a provider of financial market analytics.

Werner holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business.
