William H. Rogers Jr. (Bill) is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Truist Financial Corporation. He was named Chairman in March 2022 and Chief Executive Officer in September 2021, after serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of Truist between December 2019 and September 2021.

Prior to that, Rogers served as Chairman and CEO of a predecessor company starting in January 2012, after having been appointed CEO in June 2011. Rogers held increasingly senior positions in corporate and commercial banking, corporate finance, retail banking, private wealth management, and mortgage after joining the commercial banking division in 1980.

Rogers is a champion for the company’s philanthropy and volunteerism. He serves on a number of local and national organizations and is currently a board member of the Charlotte City Center Partners, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and the advisory board of Operation HOPE Inc. He is a member of the Charlotte Executive Leadership Council.

A native of North Carolina, Rogers earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Georgia State University.
