Wendell S. Reilly serves as Chairman of Berman Capital Advisors, an independent wealth advisory firm with $3 Billion under management. Currently a Director of Lamar Advertising Company (LAMR) and Brown & Brown, Inc (BRO), Reilly has over thirty years of private equity, entrepreneurial and executive management experience in media and communications. Previously, Reilly was Chief Financial Officer of Lamar Advertising Company and Haas Publishing Companies, and later, he founded Grapevine Communications, a venture-backed group of eight local television stations.
More recently, Reilly was a General Partner with Peachtree Equity Partners, an SBIC Debenture Fund focused on lower middle-market debt and equity investments in the Southeast, and currently, he serves as an Operating Partner with Star Mountain Capital, an asset management firm with $1.5 billion in AUM focused on underserved small businesses throughout the country.
Reilly chairs the Finance Committee of The Carter Center and the Audit Committee of the International Center for Journalists. For the past 15 years, he has served on the Endowment Board of The Paideia School as well as the Investment Committee of Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta. Native of Baton Rouge, LA, Reilly first came to Atlanta to attend Emory College, graduating with a BA in English in 1980. After receiving his MBA in Finance from Vanderbilt University in 1983, he joined the Peace Corps, serving for two years in the Dominican Republic.
