Through the generosity of alumni and friends, the Emory University Endowment has grown from $1.8 billion ten years ago to almost $5 billion as of August 31, 2006. In 2006, the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) ranked the Endowment as the thirteenth largest in the United States. Emory Investment Management's (EIM) focus is to maximize the probability that annual returns are sufficient to maintain purchasing power after spending and inflation. EIM executes investment policy, seeks opportunities globally to enhance returns, and manages portfolio risk. These functions are provided under the guidance and authority of the Investment Committee of the University’s Board of Trustees. This site contains information on the history of the Emory Endowment, the University’s asset management policies and guidelines, Endowment investment performance, the Emory Investment Management team, and additional resources. |
