Hakan returned to Emory Investment Management in 2012, having previously worked for one year in 2008 as a Graduate Investments Intern while earning his MBA at Emory’s Goizueta Business School. His responsibilities include performing ongoing risk and liquidity analysis of the overall endowment assets, evaluating risk drivers, market betas, exposures and return attribution as well as contributing to asset allocation decisions. Prior to joining Emory, he held an investment analytics-focused role at Gresham Investment Management, a New York-based firm that manages over $14 billion of client assets in diversified commodity investment portfolios. Previously, Hakan worked for 10 years internationally in engineering and management roles with multiple firms including Philips Electronics. He holds a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Orta Dogu Teknik University in Ankara, Turkey. Hakan is a CFA Charterholder.
